luki is originally from Yogyakarta, Central Java. He started his career as a chemical engineering graduate before becoming a fashion photographer. Shortly after taking up photography, luki attended a specialist fashion photography course in Milan during which time he began to expirement with ways to blend his Javanese taste with European culture and style. luki’s success is based on creativity.
He aims to produce a unique style for every image he creates. Focusing on the alignment of beauty, attitude and fabric, he creates memorable results which have received critical acclaim with his work regularly being published in top fashion magazines and for top brands. Clients include : Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Folio, Bvlgari, Levi’s, portrait of Gisele Bundchen, Alexandre Cunha, and many more.
Luki operates through his own company called “lukimages” which produces a range of imaging products from pictures and posters to videos. He also runs free classes for young, creative photographers who wish to expand their horizons.
